Having problems logging into the Parent Portal lately? STI, our student information system provider, recently made some changes that are causing problems with Internet Explorer 10. They are currently working on a fix, but in the meantime, they are suggesting that you access the portal with an earlier version of Internet Explorer, or current versions of Firefox, Safari or Chrome.

Not Receiving Emails from the School? Have an AOL email address?

Lately we’ve noticed a large number of emails being returned to us with aol.com addresses. We are currently working with AOL to fix this issue, however, in the meantime, we need to communicate with you! If you currently have an AOL.com email address, would you please contact us with an alternate email address? With so much going on during these last days of the school year, we don’t want you to miss out on anything!

You’ve worked hard on your science fair project this semester and the time has come to showcase your scientific masterpiece. After you’ve hauled everything in from the family wagon and found that lost extension cord, why not celebrate with a delicious breakfast burrito served up by our very own Miss Orlosky?

Nothing works up an appetite quite like bringing your science fair project in for setup. That’s why Miss Orlosky is offering a delicious breakfast this Monday, May 13, to coincide with parents and students delivering their projects. You’ll receive a breakfast burrito containing bacon, sausage, cheese and scrambled eggs, a side of hash browns, fruit and juice – all for only $5! Plus, all proceeds go to the Cedar Park Science Department.

Arrange for a great breakfast for your student and support the Cedar Park Science Department at the same time. Order breakfast directly from Miss Orlosky. In order to help her prepare, she’s asking that you place (and pay for) your order before this Friday, May 10. Questions? Email Miss Orlosky!

Cedar Park Christian School running standout Sally Larson, signs with Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee on February 6th Commitment Day. Sally earned both academic and athletic scholarships to Lipscomb and she is excited to continue her running career at the highest level. Sally will be competing in both cross country and track at Lipscomb and will no doubt be looking to make her presence known upon arrival. Larson was the 1A state champion this year in cross country and multiyear state medalist in the 800, 1600, 3200, and 4×400 relay. Sally follows a path similar to her sister, Jane Larson, who was an All-American at Seattle Pacific University in cross country and track and is now coaching at SPU.

Pictured from left to right: Superintendent of Cedar Park Christian Schools Dr. Clint Behrends, Head Cross Country Coach Grant Benzel, Sally Larson and her parents Bill and Sharleen Larson, Principal and Head Track and Field Coach Garron Smith, and Athletic Director Todd Lundberg.

This upcoming track and field season, Sally has lofty goals including the state championships and breaking her sister’s school records. Her work ethic is unparalleled and she is looking forward to enjoying her final season as she writes her last chapter on a program at Cedar Park Christian School that has produced 14 collegiate athletes in the last 15 years including two All-Americans.

Cedar Park Christian track and field coach and high school principal, Garron Smith, stated “we are so blessed to have been a part of Sally’s career here at Cedar Park. To see Sally’s years of hard work and dedication culminate with the opportunity to compete collegiately is very rewarding.” He additionally added “Sally’s faith in Christ is strong and she is a great example of a young adult seeking God’s will for their life.” When asked about her thoughts as she enters her last season as an Eagle, she sums it up by saying, “I feel blessed that the Lord took care of me and led me to pursue running.” Regarding choosing to attend Lipscomb, she says, “I feel at peace, as if God put me there.” We think so too, Sally. May God continue to shine His grace upon you.
