This is my first year teaching at Cedar Park. I find it a privilege to partner with an incredible staff and dedicated parents in an endeavor to equip students with skills and values to enhance their lives and enlarge God’s kingdom.
I graduated from Northwest Christian University with a Bachelor in Pastoral Ministry and Biblical Studies in 2008.
My husband Jeff and I will celebrate our 30 year anniversary in April. We have two adult children, Joe and Stephanie and our son-in-law Daniel. My heart’s delight is our two granddaughters, Lucy who attends kindergarten here at Cedar Park and Marian who is one.
While I’ve always considered myself a “Mom-cook,” cooking increasingly becomes a hobby. It is my heart’s desire for your student to learn the basics of cooking and be able to put a nutritious meal on their plate while managing their busy lives.

This week we enjoyed some delicious brunch recipes. Next week students will be doing a breakfast presentation with two other classmates of their choice. This tends to be a favorite activity because students share a variety of recipes from home. And of course, a side benefit is a good breakfast each morning next week. The presentation is worth 25 points.

Welcome to cooking class. We had an excellent first week of creating superbowl appetizers. I believe the favorite appetizer was the sweet and sour meatballs made with precooked meatballs. GO TEAM!! At the end of each week I will be posting the recipes we have used. I encourage you to try some of these at home. If you're like me you're always looking for a good recipe.
