Art: Period 1
Monday--Sketchbook assignment: two Disney characters using colored pencil techniques. Due Friday. Students are to continue their tubular projects and begin to choose children's illustrated books for their next project.
Tuesday - Friday--Continue to work on art projects.

English: Periods 3, 4, 5, 6
Monday--Begin Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred Taylor. Hand ou vocab sheets and give definitions. Go over background to this story.
Tuesday--Begin reading Ch. 1 in class. Rev. Vocab. HW: Complete Ch. 1 and the handout "Setting."
Wednesday--Rev. vocab.
Discuss discrimination as it appears in the book. Read Ch. 2 in class. Fill out "About the Characters" in class.
Thursday--complete the handout "About the Characters." Rev. vocab. Grade handout #1--"Setting" and "About the Characters." Read Ch. 3 in class. HW: Complete Ch. 3 & "Simile" handout.
Friday--Grade "Simile" handout. Rev. vocab.
Take Test 1 over Chs. 1-3. Read Ch. 4. HW: Complete Ch. 4 over weekend.

Health: Period 7
Monday--Remind students of assignment, "Interview with Mom or Dad" in their packets. Cover pgs. 136-139 (top). Fill in packet--"How to Replace Worry with Faith & Peace."
Tuesday--Cover pgs. 139-141. Continue to work on "How to Replace Worry with Faith & Peace."
Wednesday--Cover pgs. 142-144. Complete section in packet on "How to Replace Worry with Faith & Peace."
Thursday--Complete packet day. Class time to complete any areas to prepare for grading. Begin grading Ch. 6 packets.
Friday--Yearbook distribution day. No class.

Students are to complete their stuffed animal drawings by Friday. Others are to continue working on their tubular project.

Monday--Go over the quiz; answer questions as in a tutorial.
Tuesday--Take Ch. 7 Test
Wednesday--Introduce Ch. 8. Cover pgs. 162-165.
Thursday--Cover pgs. 165 - 167. HW: Diagrams8-5, p. 168.
Friday--Put diagrams on the board. Cover pgs. 168-170.

Health: Period 7
Monday: Assign disease reports. Cover pgs. 110-113.
Tuesday: Cover pgs. 114-116. Fill in packets.

What's Coming:
*May 2 is the Fund Run for our Athletic Department so get those donations in. Wednesday, April 25, is the next collection day. I'm giving one extra credit point for each dollar brought in up to $40.00 and other teachers are giving incentives as well.

Most students are working on stuffed animal drawings all week. Others are beginning new abstract project.

Monday--Put diagrams 7-13 on the board. Cover pgs. 142-145. HW: Diagrams 7-16.
Tuesday--Put diagrams on the board. Cover pgs. 146-148.

Friday--Gone all day WHALE WATCHING!!
