Mt. St. Helen’s Trip a Success

Mt. St. Helen’s is one of the most studied volcanic mountains. The 8th Grade Students got a firsthand experience observing Mt. St. Helens on a recent overnight fieldtrip. These students got the opportunity to discover for themselves the majesty of the mountain and the see extent of the damages from the eruption.  They stayed the night at the Science Learning Center  and the next day was spent at the Johnson Ridge Observatory. Each day they had a great time learning the different aspects volcanoes and earthquakes and experiencing nature on a variety of hikes.
