Academics

Preschool provides a place for children to learn, grow and explore, building a solid foundation for the coming school years.

Elementary School provides a superior academic education in a loving, Christian atmosphere.

Middle School serves as a transition from elementary to high school. Students are supported in their spiritual, academic, emotional, social, and physical growth.

High School provides students with opportunities to grow and mature in their walk with the Lord, in academics, athletics, relationships and leadership.
  

Curriculum Cedar Park is committed to using Christian curriculum.

Music/ Drama 

Middle School and High School students at Cedar Park Christian School are encouraged to participate in music and the arts.

Cedar Park Christian School has an excellent Drama Department that offers classes during the regular academic day that include performance in a student directed One Act Play as well as a drama club and the opportunity to participate in a spring production.

Students involved in our award-winning Choir and Band classes have the opportunity to perform in concerts, chapel services and travel to the Northwest Regional Choral Festival and the Association of Christian Schools International Festival.

Spiritual Emphasis

Chapel exists to create encounters with Christ through worship, prayer, and teaching, in order to affect change in the spiritual culture of CPCS students.

Mentor Groups exist to provide students and teachers with an opportunity to mutually benefit from a mentoring relationship through a small group structure with an emphasis on spiritual growth.  Students will be encouraged to “mentor” each other by sharing experiences, strengths, and leadership with one another through practical and spiritual encouragement.  Teachers will “mentor” by inspiring, motivating, and loving students in their group and providing opportunities to apply biblical principles in their lives as they develop a Christian worldview.

Other opportunities for spiritual growth include: Student Bible Study and Prayer Groups which are formed and lead by students; Chapel Interns are students who believe may have God's calling into ministry on their lives and have the opportunity to work with the Campus Pastor; Evangelism opportunities include both short term mission trips as well as community outreach events.

Athletics

Athletics are an integral part of the Middle School and High School experience. CPCS competes in the Emerald City League and is a member of the WIAA and NW Tri-Districts (Districts 1, 2, and 3). CPCS-MLT competes in the NW 1A/2B District 1 League and is a member of the WIAA.

Boys'  teams offered include soccer, basketball, baseball, golf, track and field, cross country, and cheer leading.

Girls' teams offered include soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, track and field, cross country, and cheer leading. 

Student athletes must maintain a solid GPA to participate in athletics.

The high quality of coaches and team unity provides students with a positive athletic experience.

Art / Yearbook

Our Art class is designed to inspire beginners and challenge the advanced. Students will be guided to view works of art from both historical and spiritual perspectives as well as develop an understanding of the artistic abilities God had gifted each person with.

Students will have an opportunity to learn the “building blocks” of art and then apply them in a personal, creative way.

High School students can choose to take the Yearbook class which produces an award-winning yearbook.  The yearbook is the product of a strong student team led by veteran editors gifted in photo and literary journalism, sales and customer relations, artistic composition and layout design, and computer skills.

Guidance Counseling

The goal of Cedar Park  Christian School’s Guidance Program is to guide our students in their current academic choices and as they make their post-secondary plans.  

Students meet with the Guidance Counselor throughout high school and an academic course load is designed that will best prepare the student for their future at a university, in a career, in military service, or in ministry.  Families may contact the Guidance Office with questions regarding course selection, student scheduling, standardized testing, scholarships, and college planning.
